"It is a dream come true for me, especially as a kid who could only dream of owning a camera. I fell in love with photography at a young age and always dreamed of capturing the beauty of the natural world. I made that dream come true and began pursuing landscape photography with a passion. Moving from Birmingham to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands allowed me to be closer to the landscapes I love the most, and it's been an incredible journey of growth and discovery. It is not only a personal achievement but also a reminder of how far I've come as a photographer. It motivates me to continue chasing my dreams and capturing the beauty of the world around us through my lens.
This image was taken when winter began to fade away in Scotland. On a sunny and windy March day, I climbed up to the top of Beinn Maol Chaluim to capture Bidean nam Bian from another angle and perspective. Despite the snow having melted significantly, I managed to find a beautiful location where I could capture the remaining snow on the mountains. As the sun began to set, the light became soft and golden, creating a magical atmosphere. It was at this point that I noticed the stunning scenery. In the background, the rugged and golden peaks of Bidean nam Bian stood tall and proud, providing a stunning contrast to the miniature example of the mountain in the foreground. The mountain's strength were evident, even in its smaller form. The light blue sky with few fluffy floating clouds balanced the composition of this image.”
