Gill said: “I do keep an eye on the weather and tend to go out when it is interesting/atmospheric and that morning when I saw the fog decided to take the dog to Glasgow Green for a walk. The section of the River Clyde that I walked is home to 3 Rowing Clubs so I was hoping that there would be some scullers out practising. Initially the river was quiet but eventually some rowers braved the weather and I was lucky to be able to capture them.
"As this is the second time I have won the Urban Category and with another foggy image, I briefly wondered why? Family folklore has it that the day I was born it was a very foggy day so perhaps it’s just my instinct to head out on those days with my camera! I must double check that fact with my Dad!”
