About the Awards
The Scottish Nature Photography Awards celebrate nature, wildlife and landscape
photography in Scotland.
The Scottish Nature Photography Awards Photographic Competition was launched
in 2010 to provide a platform to celebrate Scotland as a key destination
for nature photographers and to acknowledge the excellence of the photographic
work that is undertaken here through the award of the title of "Scottish
Nature Photographer of the Year". The annual competition invites
entries of images taken in Scotland by professional or amateur photographers
from around the world.
The 2018 Photographic Competition
is open from 10th September 2018 to 30th November 2018. You
can make sure you get the latest news about the competition by
subscribing to our free monthly e-newsletter.
In 2016 we introduced the Scottish Nature Video Award. The
Scottish Nature Video Award 2018 is open from 10th September 2018
to 30th November 2018.
From time to time we run other events such as our biennial online vote for
Favourite Scottish Nature Photography Book.
The Scottish Nature Photography Awards is run and managed by Perspectives,
Partners N & J Irvine.
The Scottish Nature Photography Awards is proud to
support the Artists'
Bill of Rights. You'll find us on the 'Rights
On' list of competitions that meet the standards set out in the Bill
of Rights For Artists and are recommended because they respect the public's
intellectual property rights.
