Scottish Nature Photography Awards Solstice Challenge 2019

2019 marks 10 years since the launch of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards. To celebrate, we're inviting you to participate in our Scottish Nature Photography Awards Solstice Challenge, an opportunity to create a picture of Scottish nature on the longest and shortest days of the year.

We’d like you to take a single picture of any nature, wildlife or landscape subject, anywhere in Scotland on the 21st June 2019 for the summer solstice and on the 22nd December 2019 for the winter solstice. You can take an image on one or (hopefully) both of those days to submit. If you are taking an image on both days, it can be the same subject or location, or different ones.
You can submit images at any time using the form, but the final deadline for submitting summer and winter solstice images is 20th January 2020 at 4pm 16:00 GMT. Update! This has been extended to 7th February 2020.

It’s free to submit your Solstice Challenge image(s) and we’ll display as many as possible on our website, social media channels and in a special display screening to accompany the 10th Annual Scottish Nature Photography Awards touring exhibition in 2020.

Images should be 1920 pixels on their longest side and in jpeg (.jpg, .jpeg) format. You will retain copyright of your images and we’ll only use them, fully credited to you, in relation to the Scottish Nature Photography Awards Solstice Challenge.
