Imagine the view, smell the sea air, feel the freedom of staying in a lighthouse cottage. Now think comfort and luxury and you’re on your way to a Buchan Ness Lighthouse Holiday. With the breathtaking scenery of one of Scotland's best kept secrets, the Buchan Coast, the lighthouse is less than an hour's drive from Aberdeen. With miles of empty beaches, some of the best Golf Courses and Surfing in Britain, and within easy reach of Castles and Whisky, our holidays offer something for everyone. Gift vouchers are available.

EcoVentures offer Wildlife Watch boat trips aboard our custom built wildlife watching RIB ‘Saorsa’. The trip highlights the best of what the Moray Firth has to offer and, if very lucky, an encounter with the resident colony of Bottlenose Dolphins. Trips operate daily from Easter through until the end of October, weather permitting.

All trips depart from Cromarty, a beautiful historic town which lies at the Easternmost tip of the Black Isle, right at the heart of the Moray Firth. At over 700 years old it is considered to be one of the best preserved historic towns in the Highlands. Full details about the trip and how to book can be found at:

Hilltrek Outdoor Clothing is a small team who design and make outdoor clothes for use in the mountains, the glens, the woodlands and on the riverbanks. The Cairngorms National Park is our testing ground....and our playground too. We share a passion for the outdoors, whatever our particular sport. We work closely with outdoor professionals - to hear their stories, share their experiences of using outdoor clothing in all weathers. We believe in listening and creating; adapting our designs and developing new garments to meet the challenges our customers face of living, working and playing in outdoor environments all year round.

Our story started over 35 years ago when our unique garments quickly spread to the outdoor community in the North East of Scotland. Today with our expertise in Ventile Cotton Clothing and customisable products, we export to over 30 countries around the world. Our products are designed and manufactured in our workshop in Aboyne in Deeside on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park and are used from the polar regions to high mountains.

The warming influence of the Gulf Stream allows Logan Botanic Garden to create an exotic paradise at the south-western tip of Scotland where treasures from South and Central America, Southern Africa and Australasia rarely seen in the United Kingdom flourish in both the wall and woodland gardens.

A family run hotel with delightful locally sourced food run by the Cassidy family and their small friendly team. The Cassidy family moved to Aviemore to enjoy the local scenery, nature and great outdoors and are on hand to give local tips and impart their favourite walks, historical sites and local information. The Cassidys are keen outdoor enthusiasts and enjoy skiing, mountain biking, hiking, nature and all the amazing natural local offerings that the Cairngorms National Park has to offer.

We are in a delightful rural location overlooking Loch Alvie, which is only a short walk away. The hotel is a great base for exploring the surrounding area and the popular destination of Aviemore is a 3 mile drive north, in the heart of the scenically stunning Cairngorms National Park.
