EcoVentures offer Wildlife Watch boat trips aboard our custom built wildlife
watching RIB ‘Saorsa’. The trip highlights the best of what the
Moray Firth has to offer and, if very lucky, an encounter with the resident
colony of Bottlenose Dolphins. Trips operate daily from Easter through until
the end of October, weather permitting.

Hilltrek Outdoor Clothing is a small team who design and make outdoor clothes for use in the mountains, the glens, the woodlands and on the riverbanks. The Cairngorms National Park is our testing ground....and our playground too. We share a passion for the outdoors, whatever our particular sport. We work closely with outdoor professionals - to hear their stories, share their experiences of using outdoor clothing in all weathers. We believe in listening and creating; adapting our designs and developing new garments to meet the challenges our customers face of living, working and playing in outdoor environments all year round.
Our story started over 35 years ago when our unique garments quickly spread to the outdoor community in the North East of Scotland. Today with our expertise in Ventile Cotton Clothing and customisable products, we export to over 30 countries around the world. Our products are designed and manufactured in our workshop in Aboyne in Deeside on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park and are used from the polar regions to high mountains.
The warming influence of the Gulf Stream allows Logan Botanic Garden to
create an exotic paradise at the south-western tip of Scotland where treasures
from South and Central America, Southern Africa and Australasia rarely seen
in the United Kingdom flourish in both the wall and woodland gardens.

Workshops – Stock - Images - Stories – Commercial Photography A full-time wildlife photographer, Ron lives in the Scottish Borders. He travels out to Sweden, Finland, Norway, Poland, Spain, North America, South Africa and Canada in pursuit of his photographic images. He concentrates a lot of his photography these days around the Borders Region of Scotland but travels up to the Highlands and Islands around Scotland running workshops in these areas. His work can be seen locally and internationally in books, magazines, and newspapers. He is passionate about Scotland and its amazing wildlife and promotes it in his lectures and illustrated talks all over the UK.
He runs an exciting five-day
workshop in February to Northern Sweden up in the Arctic Circle for golden
eagles. Also, otter workshops in December and January on the beautiful Isle
of Mull and an exhilarating three day osprey workshop in July are just a

A family run hotel with delightful locally sourced food run by the

to Aviemore to enjoy the local scenery, nature and great outdoors and

Aviemore is a 3 mile drive north, in the heart of the scenically
stunning Cairngorms National Park.
Treshnish & Haunn Cottages
are a selection of 8 pet friendly cottages, situated in the beautiful National
Scenic Area of north west Mull, close to Calgary beach. A perfect place
to choose for those who enjoy wildlife, bird watching, walking and exploring.
Sea Eagles, Golden Eagles and Hen Harriers are seen at times throughout
the year.
Families and dog owners are welcome.
There are lots of walks that can be taken from the farm and nearby beaches
to explore, including the beautiful white sands of Calgary Beach. There
are nearly 4 miles of dramatic coastline to explore – offering wonderful
sea views towards the Treshnish islands, Ulva, Gometra, Iona, Coll, Tiree,
Rum, Eigg, Muck and Skye. From Cruachan Treshnish, our highest ‘hill’,
you can see as far as the Uists on a clear day and up towards Knoydart and
Torridon.
We are proud holders of the Green Tourism Business Scheme Gold Award –
a fully audited scheme which monitors our green management.
The Water of Leith Conservation Trust works to conserve and enhance the river, its heritage
and wildlife: The Trust promotes education and recreation through the, open daily, Visitor
Centre, and works with volunteers and community groups to deliver around 140 river clean-ups
and habitat improvement tasks annually. Operating since 1988, it was the first river charity
to be established in Scotland. Support our work by becoming a member, sending a donation or
joining the hundred strong team of volunteers who are involved in projects on the river and
in running the Visitor Centre.
